Girls basketball: Walker 56, Mortimer Jordan 47

JASPER — Mortimer Jordan lost a crucial Class 5A Area 11 girls basketball contest to homestanding Walker Tuesday night by a 56-47 score.

Megan Snow led the Blue Devils (9-8, 4-1 area) with 13 points and Sarah Rickles added 12.

Shannie Johnson led all scorers with 19 for the Vikings.

The Jordan loss sets up a big game Friday night, as the Devils travel to Hayden for what will likely decide the area regular-seaosn championship and the right to host the area playoffs. Before that, though, Jordan heads to Corner on Thursday night.
