PLEASANT GROVE — Allen Williams scored 18 points and knicked down four 3-point goals, as Gardendale came from behind to beat host Pleasant Grove 53-40 in boys basketball play Tuesday.
Te Rockets overcame a three-point halftime deficit, holding the home team to just four points in the third period.
Williams was 6-of-10 overall from the floor, and 4-for-7 from outside the arc.
Juan Jackson scored 12 points, and Trey Evans added 11, shooting 5-of-6 from the field. He also had six rebounds for the Rockets.
Maurice Johnson scored 13 points and Derrick Kittle 11 for the Spartans.
Gardendale plays at Huffman on Thursday.
