PINSON — Marcus Merriweather and Johnathan Marable scored 13 points each, as Pinson Valley jumped out to an early lead and held on to beat area foe Springville 58-52 in boys basketball action Tuesday night.
Zach Kackson added 10 points for the Indians (9-4, 2-1 area).
Jason Swope led all scorers with 17 points, and Alex Conwell added 13 for the Tigers (3-8, 0-2).
The Indians play their last game before Christmas on Friday night at Clay-Chalkville.
