ONEONTA — Todd Goodwin's bucket with 6.3 seconds left gave Locust Fork a 49-47 win over Hayden in Friday's boys' semifinal of the Blount County Basketball Tournament at Appalachian.
The Wildcats were down late in the third quarter before scoring nine straight points to take a two-point lead at the end of the period. Neither team was able to go ahead by more than three the rest of the way.
Goodwin led the Hornets with 13 points, Jacob Hancock scored 11 and Kyle Hornbuckle added 10.
Dylan Bradford led the Wildcats with 11 points, including three treys, Chris Whitt turned in a double-double with 15 rebounds and 10 points, and Duncan Parker had 10 points, nine points and eight blocked shots.
The Hornets will play top-seeded Cleveland in the championship game Saturday night.
