ONEONTA — Kasi McMillan’s double-double held Locust Fork’s girls pull away from Cleveland for a 68-46 semifinal victory Thursday in the Blount County Basketball Tournament at Appalachian.
McMillan scored 23 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Hornets.
After a fairly even first half, Locust Fork broke the game open in the third quarter, and put it away by outscoring the Panthers 20-8 in the final period.
Kristen Cox had 18 points plus four steals, and Jamie Gail Hudson pulled down eight rebounds for the Hornets. They move on to the championship game against the winner of Friday’s semifinal between Hayden and J.B. Pennington.
