Corner won all four of its games last week, including a victory over the No. 1 team in Class 3A in the Wise Memorial Tournament at Springville.

The Yellow Jackets beat top-ranked Pisgah 3-2, thanks to a Taylor Sloan single; when she tried to stretch it out, Pisgah overthrew and Lille Blackmon scored to win the game.

Corner took down Moody, the fifth-ranked team in 5A, by a 2-0 score. Blackmon scored on a suicide squeeze play from a Madison McCormack bunt, and Bailee Hammock hit a solo homer.

The Jackets also beat Springville 10-4, and took down Etowah 7-1.

Their only losses were to eventual champion Sparkman and to Fairhope, both by 2-0 scores. They posted victories over No. 5 (4A) Sardis, No. 8 (2A) Lexington, and twice over Athens by 1-0 scores.
