INDIAN SPRINGS VILLAGE — Gardendale's boys basketball team has had its issues with second-half swoons this season. But on Friday night, it was just the opposite.
The Rockets outscored host Oak Mountain 13-5 in the fourth quarter, coming back from a six-point deficit for a 35-33 victory.
Trey Evans scored six of his game-high 13 points in the fourth period. He also pulled down 11 rebounds. Juan Jackson scored 12 points with a pair of threes, and was 4-for-4 at the foul line.
DeShawn Giles led the Eagles with 12 points, including two treys.
Gardendale hosts Pinson Valley in the regular season finale on Monday night.
