CLEVELAND, Ala. — Clay Smith had a breakout game, coming up with a slightly different double-double — 31 points and 12 steals — as Locust Fork won the Blount County Basketball Tournament with a 69-50 win over Cleveland in Saturday's championship game.
Smith, named the tournament's most valuable player, also handed out five assists. Kyle Hornbuckle added 10 points for the Hornets (17-8), who led by just two points after the first quarter but broke away in the second.
Emmanuel Terry led the Panthers (12-9) with 23 points.
