CORNER — Corner closed out its home schedule for the volleyball regular season with a 25-17, 25-15, 23-25, 25-11 win over Sumiton Christian Tuesday night.
Senior outside hitter Lillie Blackmon led the way on Senior Night, with 13 kills, 16 digs and 11 aces. Middle hitter Andrea DeBord had 11 kills, and middle hitter Sam Pinion added seven kills, two blocks and five aces. Setter Cheyenne Bryant had 21 assists and four kills.
The Yellow Jackets are 13-23 overall, and split their home matches 6-6. They will be the third seed in their Class 4A area tournament at Carbon Hill on Oct. 18; they will take on Dora in the first round.
