NORTH JEFFERSON — Good morning and happy Wednesday.



Weather: Look for sunshine today and a high of 60 degrees. The trend continues for the next few days, with highs in the low 70s for the weekend. The low for tonight is 30 degrees with no rain.



Tree replacement plan: The Auburn University community is being presented with four plans to replace the famous oak trees at Toomers Corner that were poisoned last year. All four plans call for at least two trees to be brought in.



Former candidate returns to state: Rick Santorum, who won Alabama’s presidential primary in March, is scheduled to speak Thursday at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center in Birmingham during the Alabama Policy Institute’s annual dinner. Santorum is expected to talk about where conservatives can find look for hope in changing the direction of the country.
