Kimberly City Hall to get new cabinetry

KIMBERLY — The Kimberly City Hall will soon be spruced up with new cabinetry. On Monday, the Kimberly City Council approved the purchase of cabinets for the city hall’s front office and in the community center, located across the hall. Also, the women’s bathroom will receive a new vanity and countertops. In other business, the council:

• approved the use of Cadence Bank for the processing of credit and debit cards at Kimberly City Hall. Officials have not set a date for when the office will be able to accept cards for various payments

• tabled a vote regarding the employment status of currenrt employees.

In addition, the city of Kimberly is collecting donations for Christmas in Kimberly. Unwrapped toys are needed by Monday and cash donations are needed by Dec. 10. Monetary donations are used to purchase a meal for the families
