FULTONDALE —
American Daredevil and the city of Fultondale will be helming the return of the Summerfest Ultimate Fair.
Ultimate Fair is providing a number of rides and entertainment, which will include several daredevil shows. Spiderman, a gymnastic stunt show and the Motorcycle Daredevils in the Globe of Death are among the attractions this year, also including a new ferris wheel. Both of the shows are scheduled to take place nightly at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
“Fultondale’s a great town with great people,” said Tommy Pearson, coordinator and promoter of the fair. “We had an awesome fair last year and we want to do a bigger and better one this year. We want everybody to come out and have a great time.”
Some of the rides featured at the fair are Ring of Fire, Himalaya, Orbiter and bumper cars. New rides include Expo Wheel, Zero Gravity and The Claw. Deep fried Oreos, deep fried Snickers, deep fried Twinkies and funnel cakes are among the concessions. Midway Circus provides entertainment for children with aerial acts, jugglers and clowns. Friday night of the fair will kick off with fireworks.
The fair will take place July 27-Aug. 4. Admission tickets are $2 but free for children 3 and younger. It will be located at U.S. Hwy. 31 and Central Avenue, in front of Fultondale Elementary School.
The gates open at 6 p.m until 10:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.theultimatefair.com and click “Fultondale Summerfest, Fultondale, Ala.”
