FULTONDALE — Fultondale is gearing up for its second annual summer movie series.

Starting in July, the Free Family Movie Nights in the Park will show at Black Creek Park. The city of Fultondale, the Fultondale Arts Council and Chick-fil-A are sponsoring the event.

“It’s something for the whole family,” said Lynn Sample, member of the Fultondale Arts Council. Last year, she enjoyed seeing families bring their blankets, chairs and coolers and enjoy spending time together under the stars.

“Last year we had a turnout that was really good,” Sample said. “Because of that, we felt like it would be something good for us to do again this year.”

Chick-fil-A will be selling food at the events.

Also there will be Fultondale churches. Sample said different churches will have a booth set up during each movie night.

The last night of the series, Aug. 10, is geared toward readying students to go back to school.

On that night, there will be inflatables and other activities for children.

All of the movies start at sundown.

The schedule is as follows:

July 6: Monsters vs. Aliens

July 13: The Blind Side

July 20: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

July 27: Transformers — Revenge of the Fallen

Aug. 3: Planet 51

Aug. 10: Bandslam — Back to School Party
