Good morning, and happy Thursday to you.
Yesterday was the first day of spring, and today is predicted to be another spring-like day, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 53 degrees. There is no rain in the forecast today, but look for showers Friday and Saturday.
Hearing today: A preliminary hearing is set for today for Terry Greer, the former pastor of Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Greer is charged with murder and attempted murder following a Jan. 10 shooting incident at the church parsonage, where he is accused of killing his wife Lisa and attempting to kill his daughter Suzanna. He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
