GARDENDALE — A Gardendale man has been charged with throwing rocks through the windshields of at least four cars on Sunday.
Charles Bobby Minyard, 71, was arrested Sunday on four counts of throwing an object or missile into an occupied vehicle, which is a class C felony.
Gardendale Police Lt. Bryan Lynch said that Minyard is charged with throwing large rocks through the windshields of oncoming vehicles while he was driving down Fieldstown Road on Sunday afternoon. No one in the other vehicles was injured, though Lynch said several were covered with broken glass.
"We've had reports that about a dozen cars were hit," Lynch said.
Lynch addedd that more charges may be filed as additional reports are investigated, and that anyone who may have been involved in similar incidents Sunday should call the department at 631-8787.
Minyard is held in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $400,000 bond.
