FULTONDALE — Fultondale city employees will get raises starting next month.
On Monday, the Fultondale City Council adopted resolutions approving pay increases. The first was for a 1 percent cost-of-living raise for all employees. It is effective for the for the pay period that began on Sept. 18 and will be paid on Oct. 4.
The second resolution was to approve merit raises granted under the Jefferson County Personnel Board for all classified employees that have not reached the top of their pay grade.
In other business, the council changed the city council meeting of Oct. 14 to Oct. 15, 11:30 a.m., because city hall is closed on Oct. 14 for Columbus Day.
