Sheriff's narcotics unit recovers stolen credit cards

BIRMINGHAM — An ongoing investigation into drug trafficing in western Jefferson County has yielded a stash of stolen credit cards from around the area.

The Sheriff's Office narcotics unit executed two warrants last Thursday, during which deputies seized weapons, vehicles, surveillance equipment, cash, various electronics and some marijuana. They also found 40 stolen credit cards belonging to several individuals.

Deputies arrested also two suspects.

Sheriff Mike Hale will conduct a news conference this afternoon at 1:30 at his headquarters, where the seized items will be on display.
