Lima Foxtrot 5K Race kicks off Magnolia Festival

GARDENDALE — With 175 registered runners, the first ever Lima Foxtrot 5K in Gardendale was a hit. The 5K and fun run was a benefit for the Lakeshore Foundation’s Operation Lima Foxtrot, which helps severely injured military personnel.

Teresa Voller was the winner in the women’s category and Daniel Ross won the men’s category. Each winner received $100.

The run was a kickoff to the Gardendale Magnolia Festival, which will be held at the Gardendale Civic Center Friday, 5-10 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no charge to attend the festival.
