Police arrest suspect in Gardendale pizza restaurant robbery

NORTH JEFFERSON — Gardendale Police have obtained warrants on a suspect in the Saturday armed robbery of Little Caesar's Pizza in Gardendale.

Curtis Lee Pritchett, 24, of Birmingham, is charged with three counts of robbery 1st degree. Each count is reportedly for the number of individuals who were in the store at the time of the robbery.

He is in the Gardendale City Jail with a $180,000 bond.

Police are still searching for suspects in two other robberies from last week.

The Dollar General store at Fieldstown Road and Phillips Drive was held up Saturday at gunpoint at about 2 p.m. The suspect is a black male.

On Memorial Day, two black males reportedly robbed Papa John's Pizza on Decatur Highway at gunpoint before leaving on foot.

Gardendale Police have said they do not think the three robberies are related.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Gardendale Police Department at 631-8787.
