Great gardening tips for beets and cabbage

WARRIOR — Garden tip: If you do not have a yard to plant, here are some vegetables and flowers that grow well in containers: beets; cabbage; cucumbers; lettuce; lima beans; onions; peppers; radishes; spinach; squash and tomatoes. You may try to grow tulips, grasses and any annual plant. Great gardening.

• Happy birthday greetings to: Dianna (Dee Dee) Eddy on April 1; Jewel Owens and Angel Huguley on April 2; Sarah Burton on April 8 and Sue Crane Oldham on April 9. May each one of you have a great day and year.

• Get well wishes go to Lynn Cook and Charolette Reid (she hurt her shoulder). I wish both are better at this writing and may God be with each of you.

• Remember to pray for our troops that are in harm’s way and pray for our country.
