Deputies discover meth lab in Mt. Olive

GARDENDALE — Deputies searching for a man with outstanding warrants found something else — a methamphetamine lab.

Just after noon Thursday deputies went to a residence in the 1000 block of Pebble Lane in Mt. Olive searching for 38-year-old James Edward Reid of Blount County. Reid was wanted for failure to appear on traffic violations and had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Deputies were allowed into the home to search for Reid. He was found inside and taken into custody. While inside, deputies also located a meth lab. Narcotics deputies were called to the scene to process the lab.

James Edward Reid, 38, of Blount County, was charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $60,000.

Adam Ross Bailey, 29, of Albertville was charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance and celony possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $60,000.

Kristy Gambrel, 39, of Mt. Olive was charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. She is in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $60,000.
