Hayden woman uninjured in accident that kills one

IRONDALE — A Hayden woman was not injured, but a Gadsden man was killed in a three-vehicle accident on I-459 in Irondale on Friday afternoon.

Donna Cox, 43, was driving her 2011 BMW when she was caught up in the wreck at about 3:35 p.m. She and the driver of another car, Samantha Cox of Clanton, were unhurt, but Robert Rutledge Jr. died in his 2006 Honda.

Rutledge was 55.

The accident remains under investigation, according to Alabama State Troopers.
