Mt. Olive man killed in crash

BROOKSIDE — A Mt. Olive man has died form injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.

Cory Timothy Capps, 33, died when his pickup truck crashed into a Dodge Durango on Brookside Coalburg Road, near the intersection with Archer Road.

Capps was thrown from the truck. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Capps was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Durango was injured and taken to UAB Hospital. No identity or condition of that driver has been released.
