Trust fund: Alabama voters approved a referendum to transfer money from the state’s trust fund to the General Fund. Over the next three years, $437 million will go to government-funded programs such as Medicaid, prisons, courts and other areas of government.
Cullman plane crash victims identified: A single-engine plane that crashed in southwest Cullman County Monday killed the pilot and passenger. They are identified as Dr. Gary Cohen and his wife Nancy, a dentist and his wife from Hendersonville, Tenn.
