FULTONDALE — Residents will not have to get used to a new waste disposal company anytime soon.
On Monday, the Fultondale City Council authorized Mayor Jim Lowery to renew the city’s residential solid waste disposal services contract with Advanced Disposal Services for an additional three-year term.
In other business, the council authorized Lowery to declare a 1998 Ford Expedition as surplus property and sell the vehicle on GovDeals.com, after all references to the city be removed from the vehicle.
The next regular city council meeting is April 22, 11:30 a.m., at Fultondale City Hall.
