FULTONDALE — It is wonderful to see the sun shining, flowers and trees blooming and the warm temperatures indicating that spring has finally made it. Even though it is a wonderful time of year, we know that we will still experience some cold weather and the worst part is tornado season. So don’t turn those pilot lights off just yet, you may still need your heat. Also, make sure you have flashlights, batteries and water always on hand for emergencies.

• It is a good time to start back walking at Black Creek Park if you want to get some sunshine and exercise. We are so blessed to have our parks and  walking trail. A special thanks to all our guys that keep our parks as nice as they are. Don’t forget our Bark Park that is for your special pet. If you have not taken them yet, you need to.

• The Fultondale City Council will meet on April 7 at 11:30 a.m. and again April 28 at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

• Our good friend, Mr. Leldon “Hoot” Hooten, will be celebrating his 93rd birthday on March 26. We hope he has a wonderful birthday and many more.

• Special happy 59th anniversary wishes go to Councilman Tommy Loden and wife JoAnn on March 26. We hope they have many more years of happiness.

• Special happy birthday wishes goes out to a couple of our gas department guys, Gary Horsley on March 23 and Brad Allen on March 25. They do a great job for the gas department and we hope they have a great birthday.

• Remember if you have news, anniversaries, birthdays or reunions, let me know.
