Libraries collecting books for Santa's Workshop

The Jefferson County Library Cooperative (JCLC) is collecting books for the YWCA’s annual Santa’s Workshop.

Local libraries that are part of JCLC include Gardendale, Fultondale, Warrior, Pinson and Tarrant. Shoppers can purchase books for children or young adults at Barnes & Noble and drop them off in bins at California Pizza Kitchen. The YWCA will use them at itsSanta’s Workshop program that provides Christmas gifts for homeless and transitional families in the Birmingham area.

In addition, the two businesses involved will donate a portion of proceeds from Monday through Friday of this week to JCLC, when patrons present a voucher.

Vouchers are available at all 40 JCLC libraries or by visiting jclc.org The vouchers can also be used at bn.com and cpk.com.
