Sheriff's office needs your help on murder case

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is looking for help from the public in the case of a woman found dead just south of Fultondale.

Antanisha "Neisha" Dawson was found dead on Sept. 19 at the end of Pope Lane in the North Smithfield neighborhood, which is located between the Flying J Truck Stop off I-65 and the I-22 interchange currently being built. She was found shot in the head and left for dead.

Dawson was last seen at at the home of her boyfriend the day before. Chief Deputy Randy Christian said Dawson may have gotten a ride from someone in the area of Pinson Valley Parkway and Valleyvreast Drive, but little else is known.
