The Fultondale City Council on Monday recognized three more businesses in its Recovery, Restoration and Rebuilding program. Iberia Bank, Jet Pep and Just Rite Printing received plaques for their work in rebuilding after the April 27 tornado that devastated parts of the city.
In other business, the council:
• authorized Mayor Jim Lowery to enter into a $4,368 change order with Grantswood Contracting Co. Inc. for the renovations of the Fultondale Fire Station No. 1
• approved a business license for Fultondale Auto Salvage to be located at 2506 Northwood Street
• approved a Check Advance store to be located at 1351 Decatur Hwy.
• authorized Lowery to enter into an agreement with the Municipal Workers Compensation Fund for 2012
• authorized Lowery to enter into an agreement for two power poles at Black Creek
