March 13, 8-? A yard sale will be held at the Mt. Olive Community Center to raise funds to send North Jefferson Middle School student Kaylin Smith to Europe this summer as a People to People Student Ambassador. She will meet heads of state and perform work along with other students across the nation.
Free Child Care
There will be free child care in the Mt. Olive area for 3 and 4 year olds. The head start program is now enrolling for the summer. Regular full-day childcare is offered. Call 608-1661.

April 24 The annual Brookside Greenway Festival will include arts and crafts as well as yard sale spaces. Booth rent is $10 for a 10x10 space. Electricity can be provided. The U.S. Census Bureau is hiring in the north Jefferson County area. The temporary, part-time jobs offer good pay, flexible evening and weekend hours up to 40 a week, and the chance to work near home.
