FULTONDALE — The Fultondale City Council authorized Mayor Jim Lowery to enter into an agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation for installation and maintenance of highway lighting on Interstate 65.
The council took that action during a short regular session Monday morning.
The lighting will cover I-65 from Daniel Payne Drive (41st Avenue) to Walker Chapel Road, and Interstate 22 (Corridor X) the I-65 interchange to a point 400 feet to the west.
In other business, the council:
- authorized Lowery to renew the agreements with Revenue Discovery Systems for the collection of sales, use, lodging, and rental taxes for the city
- approved a business license for BevRep, LLC, a beverage equipment service, to be located at 736 N. Pine Hill Road, Suite 100
- approved a business license for Creative Landscape Supply, to be located at 1829 Carson Road North
