Mt. Olive woman killed in car crash

TARRANT — A resident of Mt. Olive died in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday afternoon.

Lisa Gail Wilson, 64, died when her 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 was hit by an oncoming vehicle on Tarrant-Huffman Road, about a mile east of Pinson Valley Parkway.

Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Phillip Russell said that Wilson's car was struck by an older-model SUV coming in the opposite direction, which crossed over into Wilson's lane and hit her car head on.

Wilson was declared dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to a hospital; the name of the driver was not released.
