Car found belonging to missing man from Locust Fork

LOCUST FORK — The Blount County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies have found a car belonging to a Locust Fork man who was reported as missing last week.

The car was found at Low Water Bridge, a series of culverts crossing the Warrior River's Locust Fork about two and a half miles north of the town. As its name implies, water often flows over the bridge during times of high water.

Raymond Charles Wournell was reported missing on Friday. His last contact may have been with co-workers at Kaiser Aircraft in Birmingham early last week.

Anyone with information about Wournell is asked to call the Blount County Sheriff's Office in Oneonta at 205-625-4913.
