NORTH JEFFERSON —
Good morning to you, and happy Thursday.
Weather: We should get a break today from the rain and wind, with a high of 50 degrees and partly cloudy skies. But look for more rain tomorrow evening.
Reward offered: The governor’s office is offering a reward in the unsolved murder of Matthew Joshua Hale, 28, of Centerpoint. Hale’s body was found on April 16 lying near the edge of the road in the 4200 block of Sharon Church Road just north of Pinson. He had been shot, and was pronounced dead on the scene. On Dec. 18, the governor’s office offered a $5,000 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Hale’s murder. Anyone having information in the case is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at (205) 325-1450 or Crimestoppers at (205) 254-7777.
