FULTONDALE —
Two suspects were captured shortly after the armed robbery of Waffle House in Fultondale on Sunday morning.
Eric Dejuan Hatten, 29, of Pleasant Grove and Alexus Carmen Bouyer, 28 of Birmingham were arrested about three hours after robbers stole more than $900 in cash from the register of the restaurant, located on Walkers Chapel Road at Lowery Pkwy.
The suspects were apprehended neat St. Clair St. and Oakley Drive in the Sandusky neighborhood of Forestdale.
The robbers were seen leaving Waffle House in a 2011 Nissan Versa. Hatten and Dejuan were found with a car matching that description at the time of their arrest.
Both were charged with first degree armed robbery, according to police reports. Hatten was also charged with felony possession of marijuana.
