Gardendale City Hall finishes relocation

GARDENDALE — City employees spent last Thursday and Friday moving Gardendale City Hall offices from 907 Main Street, where they have been located since the 1950s, to the Gardendale First Baptist Church multi-purpose building next door.

The public entrance to the temporary city hall is on the south side of the building. The city council and zoning board will hold meetings at the Gardendale Civic Center until the new city hall facility is built at the city center on Mt. Olive Road.

City officials said the new city hall building, which has not been started, could be completed by early to late 2014.
