The game kicks off at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in New Orleans… Basketball: Dalton Hudson's 3-pointer with 18 seconds left turned out to be the game-winning shot, as Mortimer Jordan edged out Moody 58-56 on Thursday. Jordan’s girls won in a rout. Elsewhere, Gardendale’s boys and girls teams easily handled Tarrant, while Hayden’s girls won a close game over Good Hope, but the Wildcat boys lost. And in middle school action, Bragg’s eighth-grade boys will face off against Bottenfield tonight in the Jefferson County Tournament at Erwin. The Rockets polished off rival North Jefferson 61-51 in Thursday’s semifinal.
