Four arrested in Center Point meth lab

CENTER POINT — Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrested four people Saturday in the operation of a methamphetamine lab.

Deputies were tipped off about the lab while they were investigating a burglary that occurred a week earlier, according to Chief Deputy Randy Christian. The burglary victim told investigators that a relative saw a suspect at a nearby pawn shop, trying to sell jewelry taken in the heist. (The pawnbroker refused the sale.)

As they investigated further, deputies learned where the suspect was located, and that he may be manufacturing meth along with others. They went to a home in the 2500 block of 2nd Place NW in Center Point, where they discovered the items taken in the burglary, along with material used to manufactire meth.

All remain lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
