Senior centers to host health fair in Warrior
Senior citizens will have a chance next week to have free basic health checkups and visit with friends and neighbors.

Students earn drama awards at festival
One hundred thirty Jefferson County elementary students participated in the festival, where they competed in four categories: Poetry Alive, Solo Acting, Duet Acting and Solo Musical.

On Wednesday, Dr. Anna Vacca cut the ribbon on the new school during a ceremony attended by dozens of officials and community members.

Community Calendar for March 11, 2010
April 24: The annual Brookside Greenway Festival will include arts and crafts as well as yard sale spaces. Booth rent is $10 for a 10x10 space. Electricity can be provided. The only requirement is no junk. Vendors must clean their spaces after the event. Dumpsters will be provided. Applications available and fees payable at Brookside Town Hall. Haitian amputee inspires groups to collect supplies
While in Haiti, Frew took a photo of a young Haitian girl whose leg had been amputated.
When Frew’s mother, Stephanie Frew, saw the photo, it moved her to action. -
