Weather: Foggy. You might have some patches of fog here and there through the morning hours, but the sun will burn the fog off by midday and highs will reach the upper 70s. Lows tonight will fail to the lower 60s with some more patches of fog, and Tuesday brings a chance of scattered showers. Looking ahead, there’s a chance of severe weather late in the week, but it’s too early for specifics.

Sports: Aussie Aussie Aussie! For the first time in the history of the Masters golf tournament, an Australian has won the green jacket. Adam Scott won the title with a birdie on the second playoff hole, defeating former Masters champ Angel Cabrera of Argentine, Scott holed a birdie on the 18th hole of regulation play to force the playoff. Two other Australians were close behind: Jason Day, who was tied for the lead but dropped strokes on the 16th and 17th; and Marc Leishman, who finished tied for fourth with Tiger Woods, who was assessed a controversial two-stroke penalty for an illegal drop after the third round. Woods would have been disqualified under previous rules because officials initially said he committed no infraction, but changed their ruling overnight; the disqualification rule was changed last year, but some critics — including former Masters champion and current CBS analyst Nick Faldo — said he should have withdrawn anyway… Prep softball: Two strong local teams go head to head today, as Hayden travels to Corner for a 4:30 game. Both teams are ranked sixth in the ASWA rankings — Hayden in Class 5A and Corner in 4A… Basketball: The Los Angeles Lakers’ chances of making the NBA playoffs took a huge turn for the worse Friday, as star Kobe Bryant tore his Achilles tendon. Bryant had surgery the next day, but he will be out for six to nine months. After getting out of surgery, the 35-year-old Bryant went on a rant on his Facebook page, ending it with, “Maybe this is how my book ends. Maybe Father Time has defeated me.”
