PINSON — A Pinson man has been arrested and accused of breaking into his neighbor's home.
Mauricio Bravo-Hernandez, 30, was charged with second-degree burglary in the 6700 block of Crossbrook Lane.
A statement from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says that the suspect's neighbor heard someone entering his home at at about 1 a.m. Monday morning. The neighbor saw the front door standing open, then went into his daughter's bedroom to check; there he saw someone who looked like the suspect, who fled.
Deputies went to the home of Bravo-Hernandez, where he was identified and arrested.
The victim's daughter was unharmed, as she was sleeping in her parents' room.
Bravo-Hernandez is held in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
