Thanks again

Kenneth Grigsby was involved in an automobile accident on Fieldstown Road in Gardendale on Aug. 7 and passed away on Nov. 3. I believe everyone knows him by his little yellow Volkswagen and his ability to talk the ears off of a total stranger.

During the past 13 weeks, our family has been blessed beyond measure with the kind acts of total strangers in our community. It is so refreshing in this day and time to know that there are people that have a genuine care and concern for their fellow man.

As a family we wanted to send out a note of thanks, although we may forget a few, because it has been a long and trying road without the happy ending we were hoping for. However, we could never forget the acts of kindness that were passed to us along the way. This is in no way a repayment for the giving spirits we were blessed with down our path, but hopefully, it might change the way all look at an accident differently.

Thank you so very much to: Bro Wayne Turley and the congregation of Gardendale Church of God; Gardendale Police Department; Gardendale Fire and Rescue Department; rescue and transportation staff of Life Saver; Dr Greg Osborne, Kelly and staff; Hurst Towing; employees of Gardendale KFC; UAB emergency department / trauma ICU department; Dr. Ross and St Vincent’s East long-term care facility staff; and the staff of Messmer Funeral Home and Oakwood Cemetery.

May God bless each of your lives richly.

With Grateful Hearts,

The Grigsby Family
