Thanks for blessings and support

— It is not uncommon to enter Gardendale Jewelers on Main Street to find members of the Boffa family from Bob and Bobbie to Cathy (jeweler) Chris and grandson Blaine (age 13 and assistant sales), along with staff Lisa Williams and Shirley Dollar. In the past few weeks, we feel we’ve added several thousand to our family. Letters, cards and visits from members of Gardendale’s First Baptist Church have been arriving at the store daily. Most simply say, “We are praying for your business” or “Thank you for all you’ve done for our community.”
Others express past visits and sharing thoughts over the years. These cards and well wishes during this time are so greatly appreciated, so meaningful!
I thank and commend Rev. Kevin Hamm, pastor, for the insight and example that we all live and support follows Christians as family. It strengthens the whole body of Christ. We are just one of the businesses whose name and address is shared with GFBC attendees, yet I find it sad that no others acknowledge publicly these gifts of love!
As the Bible recalls, of the 10 lepers, only one returned to thank Jesus. Let it never be said of the family called Boffa and our staff. With a humble and grateful heart I say thank you for all the kindness of word and deed. God richly bless each of you, and welcome again to our family, the family of Christian love.
