Person You Should Know: Sammy Morris
Sammy Morris is a long-time runner that lives in Fultondale. He helps organize the city’s annual Stampede 5K Run, which raises money for the city fire department. The 20th annual Stampede 5K Run took place on Saturday.

Some parts of her job are routine, such as distributing mail, checking messages, entering citations into the department’s new software and handling purchase orders. Lauren Hughes is a Fultondale High School senior that has been accepted in the Alabama Ambassadors of Music program and will be traveling to Europe this summer. She is the only north Jefferson County student to be accepted into the program this year. She is trying to raise $3,000 to pay for the trip, email ginhughes@yahoo.com.
