John Pugh is the franchise owner of Buck’s Pizza in Warrior. He doesn’t sit in an office with his feet up, though; Pugh comes in and makes pizza and takes orders just like anyone else at a pizza place.

Sammy Morris is a long-time runner that lives in Fultondale. He helps organize the city’s annual Stampede 5K Run, which raises money for the city fire department. The 20th annual Stampede 5K Run took place on Saturday.

Denean Ragland is an administrative assistant to the Gardendale Police Department. Some parts of her job are routine, such as distributing mail, checking messages, entering citations into the department’s new software and handling purchase orders. Other than that, she says her days can throw her curveballs.
