House plants may need something extra

Garden tip: We are now officially into winter and your house plants may need a lift. Mix 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide with 1 quart of warm water. Over spray each plant with this mixture. If you have any of the mixture left, spray the soil. Do not use after the water is cold.

• Happy birthday greetings go to: a wonderful lady, Jean Hay on Dec. 27; Doug Hayes on Dec. 28; and to Jason Sloan on Dec. 30. I hope you all have great birthdays and a great year.

• Sympathy and prayers are needed for the family of Sybil Bagwell. She left this walk of life this week. My prayer is for her daughters and may God bless each of the family as you deal with your loss.

• The Warrior history calendars are available at R&R; Drugs and are $5 each. Also, the Lion’s Club still has pecans on sale at R&R; Drug Store, Superior Bank, Young’s Grocery in Trafford, Jones Cleaners, Ace Hardware and the Warrior Library. They cost $15 for a bag of cracked pecans. In this area, pecans did not make, so buy the pecans soon before they are gone. The Warrior Lions Club has pecans for sale every year, and the money goes toward a great cause.

• I hope each of you had a great Christmas and will have a great New Year.

• Our country still needs our prayers. The family of each deployed troop needs a special prayer.
