G’dale arts school to present ‘Grease’

Happy sixth birthday to Luke Clayton on July 10. Luke is the brother of Paul and Silas and the son of Timothy and Joy Clayton.
• Happy birthday to my mawmaw, Betty Shaver, on July 11. She is the wife of C.J. Shaver and the mother of Denise (Danny) Tesseneer and Charles (Sharon) Shaver.
• We also want to wish a very happy birthday to one of our writers, Courtney Hall, on July 11. I hope you have a great year.
• The Gardendale School of Fine Arts will present the Samuel French musical “Grease” on July 17-19 at 7 p.m. at the Gardendale Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the Martha Moore Library and the Gardendale Dollar Tree store. For further information, contact director Judy Watson at 631-4508.
• A youth summer basketball camp will be held July 15-17 from 8:30 a.m. to noon for rising first through sixth graders. The cost is $20 and the camp will be held at Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. For more information, call 631-7631.
