Bill Latham, right, a Major League Baseball scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers, spoke at the Gardendale Area Rotary Club on Feb. 6. Latham pitched at Auburn University from 1978-81. He went on to play for the New York Mets and then the Minnesota Twins. He has worked as a scout since 1998; he scouted for the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox before going to work for the Dodgers. Latham was the guest of Rotary member Lamar Kelley with Regions Bank.
